- Your elevation, roughly. Frost depth steps from 12 to 24 inches across the county and snow load is site-specific in Prescott, so altitude changes the structure rather than just the finish.

Twelve of the twenty communities on this site are unincorporated, and the difference is not cosmetic: the county exempts a detached non-habitable structure up to 400 square feet and 12 feet, and the City of Prescott exempts almost nothing in this category.
